Bear Animal Glasses Holder Crochet Pattern

Bear Animal Glasses Holder Crochet Pattern
Bear Animal Glasses Holder Crochet Pattern

My sister originally sent me this pattern of a bear-shaped glasses holder that's both adorable and practical. The oval base is perfect for holding your glasses securely without scratching them, and you can customize it into different animals if bears aren't your thing. The nose helps keep your glasses centered, and the original pattern maker added a tiny hat because who doesn't love a well-dressed bear?

I loved the design so much that I started experimenting with different variations. Now the pattern includes options for bear, fox, or dog ears so you can create whichever animal speaks to you. Each version keeps the same functional base design - it's just a matter of choosing which cute face you want greeting you on your bedside table!

This is one of my favorite patterns to make as gifts because it combines something useful with a touch of whimsy. It works up fairly quickly over a weekend, and it's always satisfying to see how happy people are to have a special spot for their glasses. Whether you're making it for yourself or as a gift, this intermediate-level pattern will help you create a charming and practical accessory that's sure to bring smiles.

I used Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool in Natural, which gives it a more rustic quality and can be felted if one wishes to do so. If you prefer cotton, my favorite is Paintbox Yarns with two strands held, or Bernat Maker yarn which would give it a better stitch definition.
